2017 Video Documentary Contest Winner
Rise: The Revival of Women’s Basketball
Pictured above, Mason Bibb accepts his award from Ann Upchurch, Treasurer of the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame (KHSBHF). The winning video documented the story of women’s basketball in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The winner received a $2,500 scholarship award in addition to the $1,500 award for making the Final 4. Each school that participated also received $500 for their technology program.
On Wednesday, April 12th at Rupp Arena, approximately 9000 students gathered in Rupp Arena for the 2017 Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) State Championships. As a part of the Centennial Celebration of Kentucky High School Basketball, a video documentary contest was held entitled: A Basketball Story. Students were asked to produce a video on a topic involving their school’s basketball program.

All 4 Documentaries will be shown in Elizabethtown in the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame (KHSBHF). The 100th member will be inducted on July 22nd at the grand opening of the facility.
