In a “Cat fight” last night in Memorial Coliseum, The Breckinridge County Tigers won out over their Eastern Kentucky counterparts, the Paintsville Tigers (72-70), in an awesome display of power and skill. Breckinridge County pressed and ran while Paintsville powered the ball inside. A battle of wills was settled with Breckinridge County winning on a fast break dunk by Butch Beard with seven seconds left in the game. Beard led Breckinridge with 26 points and 13 rebounds while Ratliff led Paintsville with 24 points.
